THE GENTLE DETAILS

Privacy Policy

How we handle information when you visit our website, get in touch, or arrange care.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Your information has a purpose.

The Soft Side of Wild is Alicia’s pet-care business serving Denver and surrounding areas. This policy explains the information used to answer questions, provide care, send requested updates, and keep business records.

1. Questions and contact inquiries

The website offers email, phone, and text links. When you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to share, such as your name, pet’s needs, requested dates, and message. We use that information to respond, discuss availability, and arrange or support your care.

Email is handled through our business Gmail account. Calls and texts use phone and messaging services. Please use the client portal for detailed care or home-access instructions, and do not send passwords or full payment-card details by email or text.

2. “Join the Pack” email signup

The signup form on our home page sends your email address to Brevo, our newsletter service. The form also includes a hidden spam-check field and a language setting. Brevo processes signup requests and subscription records; follow any confirmation email to finish subscribing.

Signing up is optional. Use the unsubscribe option in a newsletter, or email us to ask to stop receiving marketing emails. Service messages about your bookings are separate from newsletter updates. Brevo’s handling of its service is described in its privacy policy.

3. Client and pet information

Our booking links open Time To Pet, where clients can create an account and manage care. Information used for care can include household contact details, address, pet profiles, routines, health and medication instructions, veterinary and emergency contacts, access instructions, messages, service dates, and billing records.

We use relevant information to plan safe visits, communicate with you, manage schedules and payments, and maintain business records. Time To Pet is a separate service with its own privacy policy. Any payment details entered into a third-party payment service are handled there; this public website has no payment-card entry form.

Some existing client acknowledgements were collected through an earlier Square onboarding process. We retain relevant acknowledgements as part of the client’s care and permission records.

4. Pet photos, updates, and sharing permission

Pet photos, videos, and visit updates can form part of care records and communications. We keep a record of the photo and social-sharing permission you provide. Contact Alicia if you want to discuss or change your permission, or ask about a photo or testimonial already published.

Permission to share a pet photo does not make your client profile, address, access instructions, or private care records public.

5. Website hosting, fonts, and technical data

Vercel hosts this public website. Serving and protecting a website involves technical information such as an IP address, requested page, request time, browser information, and error or security logs. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its handling of that information.

The site loads the Nunito typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes requests to Google to display the font. Those requests involve technical connection information. See Google’s privacy policy.

The website’s own code does not set cookies or use browser storage, advertising pixels, or visitor analytics scripts. That does not mean third-party services are cookie-free: newsletter responses, the client portal, and services you visit through links operate under their own policies and browser settings.

6. Services and information sharing

Information goes to the services involved in the activity you choose—for example, Brevo for an email signup, Google for business email, Time To Pet for client care, and Vercel for website delivery. The website has no integration for selling visitor information or sharing it with advertising networks. This is not a promise that information is never shared: operating the services described here requires appropriate information to reach their providers.

We may also need to provide relevant information when required by law or when necessary to address a care emergency or protect people, pets, or business records.

Our TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Nextdoor, and Linktree links take you to separate platforms. Their privacy practices apply when you use them.

7. Protection and retention

The public website does not provide access to private client records. The website uses HTTPS to protect connections. Please keep your client-portal login private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use of your information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

There is no single deletion period covering all records. Retention depends on the record, ongoing care, accounting and legal requirements, and the systems holding it. Third-party services apply their own retention practices.

8. Your choices and requests

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, ask us to stop marketing emails, or raise a concern about photo permission. Available legal rights depend on your location and the circumstances. We may need to confirm your identity, and some records may need to be retained for care, accounting, legal obligations, or resolving a dispute. We will explain any relevant limitation rather than promise immediate deletion from every service.

Contact Alicia at softsideofwild@gmail.com or (970) 673-9205. You can also update available profile information through your Time To Pet client account.

9. Keeping this policy current

We will update this page when our information-handling practices change and revise the date above. For service expectations and booking terms, see our Care Policies.
